Quest’anno i partecipanti e il pubblico si confrontano con svariate sfide riguardanti il trattamento della SM. Il simposio State of the Art è un congresso di portata internazionale. Diversamente dalla maggior parte dei paesi europei limitrofi, la Svizzera dispone di un proprio ente di controllo chiamato Swissmedic. Ciò comporta alcune differenze in termini di disponibilità e applicazione delle terapie. Il Prof. Andrew Chan dell’Inselspital di Berna ha presentato la panoramica di tali discrepanze, evidenziate dal Consiglio scientifico, fornendo inoltre indicazioni importanti relative al rimborso di singole terapie da parte delle assicurazioni.
